With all of the success and positive impact of our first store, we opened in Verdun a second Zero Waste Grocery Store, after only a year of being open in Villeray!
Just like our first branch, we made our decision for the location taking into account the needs of the community. To measure these needs, we had launched a survey on POTLOC. It was then that our minds were made up, because the need was so great in Verdun.
Over the past several years, Wellington street has really grown into the place to be. The sheer energy is unmatched. Continued with the other wonderful businesses on the street that we can get excited about collaborating with: Sweet Lee’s bakery or ‘la Maison de l’Environnement de Verdun’, just to name a couple.
More than a grocery store, a zero waste space
To truly offer something unique, we had decided to share our space with the Zero Waste coffee shop Le 5ème. We really wanted to offer the citizens of Verdun a one of a kind space catering to groceries, coffee and co-working, healthy and Zero Waste, all wrapped into one!
So come by and check out our seasonal and organic fruits and veggies, dried goods, fresh foods, biodegradable cleaning products, our all natural health and hygiene products or even our ready to eat vegan buffet… everything offered in bulk!
Don’t forget your own containers, we accept them all! Fabric bags (both plastic and paper), yogurt containers, plastic boxes, mason jars, anything!
Will we be seeing you soon?

Hello,
My name is Catherine Verdon Diamond and I am a host at Breakfast Television.
My producer sent me an email about your wonderful no waste grocery store.
I would love to do a feature on this and get the word out.
We would come to your location and film a 4-5 minute interview, showcasing all the wonderful things about LOCO.
Please let me know if you are interested and we will get the ball rolling.
Below is a clip of what a typical Live Eye looks like.
